Niceol Blue is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller, living and working in the West of Ireland. As a singer and songwriter, she regularly performs solo and with bands in venues, on the street and at festivals worldwide including Bumbershoot, Folklife, Festival of Fires, Temple House Festival, Body & Soul Festival, Knockanstockan, Electric Picnic, Spirit of Folk, Green Village, Ranelagh Arts Festival, Spirit of Voice Festival, Joy in the Park, and the Irish Festival of Oulu, in Finland. She has produced one album, entitled ‘Rise’ (available here) and several single tracks (which you can listen to here).
Niceol is also a founding member of the Moth & Butterfly Storytelling collective, and has been regularly creating and telling stories since 2012, with Moth & Butterfly, The Moth & Butterfly Tellers, and as a solo teller. As well as at Moth & Butterfly events, Niceol has told stories at the International Literature Festival Dublin and Cúirt International Festival of Literature.
As well as being a singer, songwriter and storyteller, Niceol is also a poet and writer, with several published works of poetry, which you can read here.
